Following a Foucaultian archaeology of knowledge,this paper deals with the rise and deployment of a particular form of colonial knowledge directed to Asia,the British military intelligence,including its techniques such as route books and military reports. The practices of this knowledge coded and reconfigured Asia’s space and produced relative archives,which were employed to reconfigure the society and construct geo-strategy and dominant Asia’s space in 19th century by British imperialism.
